fuck it

if nothing means anything,... why do this anymore?....

in the mean time, turn off the tv, stop buying so much stupid shit, and listen to some honest, good music:

ache

each time I have gone to new york, my life changes a little bit it seems. maybe its just part of the bigger picture. i find it difficult to adjust back to the pace and culture of calgary... i hate feeling this way. but in some fucked up way i think yearn for it.

thx to tony @ the dublin house for keeping me company and the free drinks.

inside my fridge

a review of the selection of fine ale in my fridge.

-heiniken(in cans or bottles) - golden, slightly watery, and just enough bitterness. good if you are drinking alot.
-guinness(in cans) - smooth, dark red(look against a light), standard stout beer. has to be poured in a glass.
-labatt genuine draft(bottles) - watery skunk-piss. good for random strangers who come over and drink.
-london dry porter - apparently it is a nice stout..but ive yet to open it. tbd.

other beers recently occupying the fridge:
-lucky lager/olympia - around one dollar per beer. what's not to like?
-chimay(blue label) - quite possible one of my most favorite bottled beers ever. sweet, smooth, porter/stout like, with flavors of coffee. five bucks or more per bottle.

other items in the fridge:
-blueberry juice
-cashews
-home-made granola(organic)
-condiments
-other unmentionables

-tune in next time for a review of things in the freezer; among them, green beans, edamame, and frost.

numero uno

the number 1 bus line - cutting calgary in half north-south (more or less) has the most varied sampling of the population base of any bus route in town. as far as i know.

mostly the usual suspects; blue collar types, uber-wealthy yuppies - the ones too cheap to pay for parking, people with way too many children; dudes at the back swilling vodka at 5pm; plus the assorted mass of over-aggressive and cussing teenagers. pretty much everyone gets along which is fairly amazing within itself. oh i forgot, also, very small children or babies shrieking, "i need chocolate", for the entire ride. the smells can be pretty mind-altering at times as well.

i cant wait until its bike riding weather.

hello, master

i went to see priestess on monday night..it was fuckin great. all the hipsters wandered around not paying attention(that must be the cool thing to do). but whatever, still a great time.

they toured with mastodon and converge in the US, which would have been awesome. totally.
