public vs private

why is this province bent on having everything privatized?.. oh yes..that capitalism thing. besides rare isolated cases, i have yet to come across a concrete example of privatization benefiting the citizens as compared to the public version. In the vast majority of situations, the opposite is true. but its supposed to function like that(how naive of me). so why even have that argument?..private power is/are pure tyrannies. they serve the interest of the shareholders. nothing else. even though many have a large part/all of their capital costs socialized. ahh the irony. yet another topic which causes any opposing discussion to be dismissed without fact or reason. one more item to be ostracized about by all of the sheep. all i know is my liquor and power is relatively more costly now then it was under the public system. i don't mind sitting in the dark, freezing to death, but not the beer..
